Island Wild Seafoods is committed to sustainable resources. AirLiner is an inflatable, insulating liner that easily converts a cardboard box into a cooler. It’s made in San Diego, Calif., where Coldpack Systems operates a 0%-waste manufacturing facility located near the Miramar air station.
Island Wild Seafoods Fisherman/Owner Clint Funderburg sees the by-products of styrofoam/EPS usage when he’s out at sea, which is why he’s willing to pay more to use a green alternative to standard shipping. “Ever wonder where all those styrofoam boxes go? I see a lot of them floating on the waters of the Pacific where I fish,” Funderburg said. AirLiner saves us time and money, too, by reducing the landfill impact by as much as 19.1 billion cubic feet per year. Each year 20 billion cubic feet of EPS foam boxes are used globally for the shipment of 250 million perishable packages.
